Make your faith public.
An outward declaration of an inward decision.

New life.
A public declaration.
Want to take your next step in making your faith public?
Baptism is an outward declaration of an inward decision.
Get baptized! →What it is.
What it isn’t.
“Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
For the Saved
Baptism is for those with repentant hearts who have acknowledged Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior
For the Saving
The criminal on the cross was not baptized. Water does not save you—Jesus does.
The Next Step of Obedience
Jesus is the ultimate example for us, and He Himself was baptized (Matt. 3:16). He then commands all His followers not only to make disciples, but to baptize (Matt. 28:19).
The Finish Line
This is where our faith takes its first steps, not its last.
A Public Declaration
It's loud, it's family, it's a "wedding ring" moment to tell the world Who you belong to.
A Private Moment
Every baptism in Scripture is done publicly, not hidden. It is done for all the world to see.
A Picture of the gospel
When we go under, we are buried with Christ; the water represents the blood of Jesus that washes our sins. When we come up, we are a new creation. The old us is gone; the new us has begun (Rom. 6:4)
Just "Something to Do"
Our walk with Jesus is intentional. Every moment is a teaching moment. It testifies to everyone around us.
Can I Get Baptized Again?
Baptism is for those who have acknowledged Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. If you were baptized before you were saved, you can and should be baptized on the right side of salvation. We do see those in Scripture getting baptized again once they understood the Gospel (Acts 19:1-5). If you have not been baptized since making your faith your own, this is your next step.
How Old Do I Have to Be?
Old enough to understand the Gospel and make your faith your own.
What should I wear?
We will provide you with a baptism shirt. Bring dark bottoms and a change of clothes for after!
Who will baptize me?
A Hope City Church staff member will also be in the water with you. We also believe that if someone has been discipling you, they should be in the water with you, so bring them too!
When are Baptisms Available?
Every weekend! We're ready at all times. We follow Scripture's example—
Every baptism is spontaneous. No classes. No membership. No change of clothes. No problem!
