And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread, and to prayer, (Acts 2:42). This describes the early church and we desire that this be the heart of Hope City Church.

The Well is our own coffee shop—a space intentionally created for connection, conversation, and of course, coffee made just the way you like it by our very own baristas. It's a warm, welcoming place to relax before or after a service, to do life together, pray with each other, or simply be present in community. While donations received through The Well go directly to support the missions we partner with, they are not required.

Ministry Essentials

Serving in Central Europe since 2016

Jeff and Karen Merry serve in Budapest, Hungary with Ministry Essentials, providing on-field care and support for Christian leaders and global workers facing difficult seasons of life and ministry. Since moving to Central Europe in 2016, they have been passionate about helping prevent burnout and premature departure from the mission field by offering compassionate, professional care in places where support resources are often limited. Their ministry exists to strengthen those who serve so they can continue their calling with health, resilience, and hope.

Drawing on decades of experience in pastoral leadership, counseling, spiritual direction, and worship, Jeff and Karen provide individual counseling, marriage intensives, trauma interventions, and spiritual direction. They also lead worship in churches, conferences, and retreat settings. Through this holistic approach, they walk alongside global workers with wisdom, grace, and deep care, helping them find restoration and renewed strength for the journey ahead.

Seed to Sower Ministries

Caring for vulnerable children and families

Seed to Sower Ministries is a global, faith-based nonprofit dedicated to caring for vulnerable and at-risk children and families around the world. They partner with local communities to prevent and heal the effects of abuse, neglect, and trauma through holistic, Christ-centered care. Their work includes restorative education, family strengthening, protective care such as foster and reunification services, and advocacy to safeguard children’s rights.

Rachel Mateo and her husband Samy are two of our missionaries who serve with Seed to Sower Ministries in the Dominican Republic, helping advance this mission by walking alongside children and families as they pursue healing, stability, and hope.

Through these initiatives, Seed to Sower Ministries seeks to transform trauma into triumph, promote long-term community healing, and spread hope and faith by integrating biblical principles with best practices in child care and protection.

Action International Ministries

Living among families displaced by a major typhoon

Catie Smith is a missionary serving with Action International Ministries in the Philippines, where she lives in a relocation community of families displaced by a major typhoon. With a heart for discipleship and evangelism, she has committed to learning local languages and working closely with her neighbors and the local church to show Christ’s love in practical, community-centered ways. Her ministry helps people encounter Jesus while empowering them to pursue their God-given dreams and grow in faith.

On the ground, Catie serves her community through practical and relational ministry, including leading a learning center and library, hosting weekly children’s breakfasts, and supporting students through work-study scholarships. She also facilitates discipleship through mothers’ fellowships, youth events, evangelism, and baptism gatherings, while partnering with local churches to share the gospel and foster long-term spiritual growth within the community.

The Rock Christian Fellowship

Faith, Family, and Fellowship

The Rock Christian Fellowship is a Bible-centered church in Newark, New Jersey committed to proclaiming Jesus Christ as Lord and helping people grow in their faith through deep, verse-by-verse teaching and practical discipleship. Their ministry revolves around the core pillars of Faith, Family, and Fellowship, offering weekly worship services, Bible study, fellowship events, and outreach opportunities designed to equip believers and share the gospel with their community.

Led by Pastor Ray Dash, whose own journey from hardship to surrendering his life to Christ fuels a genuine passion for outreach and transformation, The Rock Christian Fellowship actively engages the Newark community with practical and relational ministry. Pastor Ray’s story of organizing Bible studies, street outreach, and discipleship efforts reflects the church’s heart to win souls, foster repentance that leads to life change, and equip a new generation for godliness.

Venkanna Bhukya

Reaching urban slums and remote villages

Venkanna Bhukya is a devoted pastor in India, faithfully following in the footsteps of Jesus. He leads evangelistic efforts in both urban slums and remote villages, reaching people who have little exposure to the Gospel. Through preaching, personal ministry, and teaching, Venkanna introduces Jesus to children, new believers, and unbelievers alike, encouraging faith, perseverance, and boldness in a culture often dominated by false gods and idols. His ministry is hands-on and tireless, using every opportunity to share the love and promises of Jesus with those around him.

In addition to evangelism, Venkanna mentors and teaches local pastors and Christian leaders, helping them strengthen their ministries and reach their communities more effectively. Venkanna’s ministry is marked by personal sacrifice, spiritual boldness, and a heart for seeing the light of Jesus spread throughout India.
