Hello friends,
One of the dangers of any season without structure is this: drifting.
No one plans to drift spiritually. It happens slowly—quietly. A missed day in the Word turns into a missed week. A little distance becomes a lot before we even realize it.
The writer of Hebrews warns us:
“For this reason, we must pay attention all the more to what we have heard, so that we will not drift away” (Hebrews 2:1).
Summer can be full of good things—vacations, time with family, and moments of rest. But if we’re not careful, it can also become a season where we unintentionally disconnect from the very things that keep us grounded.
Drifting doesn’t happen when we’re anchored.
Stay anchored in God’s Word. Stay connected to His people. Stay consistent in your walk with Him.
Even when routines change, our commitment to Jesus doesn’t have to.
Let’s be a church that stays rooted, steady, and intentional.
Let’s know His truth daily.Let’s grow together in community. And let’s go and live out our faith wherever this summer takes us.
Don’t drift—draw near.
Blessings,
Pastor Matt
