Hello friends,

What we fix our eyes on shapes the way we live.

It’s easy to get caught up in what’s right in front of us—our circumstances, our struggles, our schedules, and the weight of everyday life. But as followers of Jesus, we are called to lift our eyes beyond the temporary and set them on what is eternal.

Paul writes:

“Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God” (Colossians 3:2-3 CSB).

When we begin to live with eternity in mind, everything starts to shift. Our priorities change. The way we spend our time changes. The way we love people, forgive others, and walk through trials begins to look different. We stop living only for what is seen and start living for what is unseen.

Recently, I wrote a song for our church called “Eternity.” The heart behind it is simple: no matter what we face here and now, this is not the end of our story. What’s ahead is far greater than anything we’re walking through today.

When we fix our eyes on eternity, we find hope in the middle of hardship. We find purpose in the ordinary. And we find urgency to share the gospel with those around us.

Let’s be a church that lives with heaven in view.

Let’s know His Word and His promises about what’s to come. Let’s grow in faith, trusting Him even when life feels uncertain. And let’s go, sharing the hope of Jesus with a world that desperately needs it.

This life is a moment—but eternity is forever.

Let’s live like it.

Blessings,
Pastor Matt
