Hello friends and Merry Christmas,
‘Tis the Reason for the Season! I love that the answer for our hope and our lives is all because Christ came down to us as the Greatest Gift of all time. In the Old Testament, we see a man named Simeon who is awaiting the Promise. Could you imagine waiting for hope? Simeon was dedicating his life to waiting for the Messiah. One of my favorite quotes he says is when he finally gets to see the long awaited Gift and says:
“‘For my eyes have seen your salvation’” (Luke 2:30 CSB).
Friends, we have been able to be on the other side of this waiting period. The Gift came, and is here for us and with us now! We have seen salvation! He came in the darkest night in the brightest way. Remember Who this is all about and why we have this time to reflect on Jesus. May we not get distracted with our eyes this season, but keep our eyes fixed on Salvation! The salvation that is found in Jesus Christ!
Merry Christmas!
Blessings,
Pastor Matt
