Hello friends,

Have you ever been anxious about the season of life you’ve been in? You’re not alone. I can think of moments, times, and seasons where I felt the pressure of the world around me. We have a promise in Scripture that shows us how we can not be anxious in the dry seasons.

Jeremiah 17:7-8 tells us that, “The person who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence indeed is the LORD, is blessed. He will be like a tree planted by water: it sends its roots out toward a stream, it doesn’t fear when heat comes, and its foliage remains green. It will not worry in a year of drought or cease producing fruit” (emphasis added).

So, how do we not worry? By being planted in the Living Water. Having our roots abiding in the One Who can bring us the peace that surpasses all understanding (Phil. 4:7). When we are planted in His Word, and we keep our eyes on Him when the world runs dry, we will see that the Word never is dry—but will produce fruit in our lives.

Friends, stay planted in the Word so that when life runs dry, the seeds that we have been planting in our hearts will bring forth the fruit.

Blessings,
Pastor Matt
